The Ballerina

A simple sculpture with central features of cone shapes.  I personally like the vertical cone forms intersecting the platform hoizontal dress, then again the parallel swinging arms juxtaposed against the dress.  The simplisity is the beauty of the piece, it is exciting, moving and dramatic yet the geometry is quite extraordinary with the horizontals and verticals that seems to go out into space but are contained in one compact open image of a dancer.   I think you can see her spinning, and whirling about, she is a classic abstract modern dancing figure,  there is a beautiful graphic quality to this piece
